Hi folks - I recently acquired a Canon Pixma Pro 100S, with a few head scratching moments I got it set up, and working on my Starlink wifi connection, using my older 2018 Macbook pro.
I've just tried to now set it up on my newer 2021 M1 MBP - which was straightforward - but every time I try to print from the M1 MBP I get an error message 'Filter Failed'. I have searched previous posts and the advice was to download the new drivers - I have the latest driver installed, for MacOS 13 (Ventura).
The same operating system and drivers are installed on both MBP.
The error occurs both over the Wired USB connection and the WIFI connection.
I have checked that the firmware is up to date. I have been through the steps on this post also to no avail. https://canoncanada.custhelp.com/app/answers/answer_view/a_id/1036678/~/fixing-filter-failed-error-w...
Any ideas? Thank you! 🤞

Another thing to try is with the Printers & Scanners window open right-click inside the window and select Reset Printing System in the pop-up window.
