Cannot print certain PDFs from my Canon imageCLASS MF4350d

Hello,

I'm having some troubles printing some (but not all) PDFs on my Canon imageCLASS MF4350d from macOS Sequoia 15.1. Here's what I've tried:

1. Reinstalling the driver (mac-UFRII-LIPSLX-v101920-06.dmg).
2. Restarting the computer (and printer).
3. Printing from Adobe Acrobat instead of Preview.app.

I continue to see the same error in Print Center.app: "Filter Failed." And then a subsequent error on the printer display: "Printer Data Error. Check Printer."

Thanks for any help!

I'm a Windows & Android user, so my experience with Apple products is quite limited. I checked the printer in question, and it dates back to about 2009, so it is up there in years. This may be a case of the printer simply getting long in the tooth. My thought would be to reach out to Canon Support to have a rep try to determine if this is a compatibility issue or something else. 🤔

It's worth mentioning that I only started having a problem after upgrading macOS, so I think the problem must be related to the new OS. The printer may not be brand new, but it's working just fine! I just need the driver to work properly.

Is it possible to roll the computer back to the prior version of macOS to see if the problem resolves itself?

You can try contacting Canon Support or maybe Apple's Customer Service concerning the apparent incompatibility with the latest release. 😐

Thanks for that suggestion. It appears I was wrong about the OS upgrade being the culprit. I had another computer around that's still running macOS 14 and installing the same drivers on it resulted in the same problem printing a PDF that I've been having trouble with on macOS 15. Maybe I will contact Canon Support and see if that leads to any new insights.
