Pixma Pro-100 - Ink cartridge stuck

Two ink cartridges have come loose and won't allow the printhead to move.  How can I fix it while the print head is in its right-side position?

When I turn on the Pixma Pro-100, the machine begins to initialize.  Soon it emits a loud scratchy noise and the orange light begins blinking.  The printhead won't move.  Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Can you maybe slide a ruler or knife in and use it to push down on the cartridges?
