Pixma PRO-200S scratching sound

I wonder if head strikes to the paper always lead to the visual ink defect or it may scratch the paper without print damage? My Pixma PRO-200S is relatively fresh but it started to make some scratching sound during printing, but only when the head moves to the left (if watch at printer from front). Prints quality is nice and I don't see any lines or visual defects. So I wonder if nozzles really touch the paper or it's something else? Whatever if I use RC paper or fine art paper, the sound is kinda the same, though I thought it would depend on the surface type. Used both, manual and top feed, and of course I pick proper setting for the paper (even tried Heavy Weight Fine Art). As additional notice - the scratching sound appears not every move, sometimes the head can move couple times without this sound but then it happens again.

Hi,

You can check the paper abrasion setting by using the steps below:
Select Various settings on HOME screen of the printer, and set Printer settings > Print settings > Prevent paper abrasion > ON.

If the issue remains, I recommend reaching out to Canon support. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
