PRO-100 won't print

I have had a PRO100 for eight or nine years, and it finally just stopped working. Previous posts are from the old printer. I gave up on so many tries to get it to Work.

Just recently. I was lucky enough to find a PRO100 for sale. The printer was in a box. It had all the Styrofoam around it.

I took the printer out of the Styrofoam and I started with the instructions. Everything accept the printer itself  was in unopened bags. It had all the Documents. Information and even Photo paper, along with unopened ink.

I opened the top cover and the instructions said to remove the orange tape and protective materials. This had already been done by previous owner, but that’s as far as they went. I then closed the top cover. I then connected the power cord. I pressed the on button and waited for it to have a solid white light. I then opened the paper output tray, and opened the top cover. I raised the Print Head lock, and then opened the unopened silver bag to remove the print head. I carefully installed the print head and lowered the print head lock. I then removed the unopened ink cartridges and installed them.

All lights were lit on the ink cartridges, Then I shut it. I made sure the inner cover was closed, and then I closed the top cover. I waited for The on button to go solid. It did go solid for a second and then it flashed, and the button below it with the orange light flashed right after it. At this point I started over by turning printer off by pressing button then unplugged the cord. I plugged it back in then pushed start button. Waited for start button to have solid light  This time I opened Printers and Scanners on my computer clicked on Pro100 then Manage then Print test page. The printing test page showed printer not responding , estimated ink levels.

I then opened the top cover which moved the ink cartridges so I removed the cartridges one at a time. I checked the Print Head to see that each cartridge released ink on to the Print head. Then tried to print a document only to read the same, printer not responding , estimated ink levels.

Hopefully someone could help me out Thanks in advance Mox

It seems suspicious that they prepped the printer but never installed the print head. Did it look like the power cord was used? Maybe something happened with power and they just boxed everything up.

Try printing a nozzle check directly at the printer.

But try direct nozzle check; doesn't require the computer. If that doesn't work printer has a problem, not your installation.

Hi John, thanks for helping out again. Everything ,other than printer, were in closed, sealed bags. But the cords were in no bag but thin Velcro wireless holders were on them. I'll try performing the nozzle check

I'll try that nozzle check and get back to you

I tried the nozzle check I put in 4 sheets in the back holder pressed the button waited for two blinks of on-off and let go  did not grab any paper.  started over from scratch but used one sheet printer just shot out the one sheet with no printing.

another bad thing is my backup MG3620 isn't working any longer, Yikes it worked an hour ago
