Needing A3 printer to replace i9950

Hi,

My first time posting here. I am seeking some advice. I have decided to not go into detail as to how ( it is a long story) but I think I have killed my i 9950 😞   (Suffice to say printer head problem related).

Loved my i9950. The only thing I have not liked about it is its large size.

Anyway, I am thinking about buying another A3 photo printer: I want to have at least comparable quality to the prints have been getting with i9950 or better, and I want something reliable and durable.

I see there are 3 possible printers of interest:

  • Canon PIXMA PRO-10S
  • Canon PIXMA Pro-100S
  • Canon 8746B008AA PIXMA iP8750 A3+ Wi-Fi Photo Printer,Black

I am just after thoughts on these printers. I do not want to downgrade on terms of photo printing quality.

I have a load of BCI6 inks but it looks like none of the above printers use these. Is there any reasonable A3 photo printer I can get that takes these cartridges ?

Looking forward to and grateful for advice and opinions !

Here are all the printers that take those cartridges:

The Canon BCI-6 Ink Tank 6-Pack is designed for the following printers:

  • BJC-8200
  • i900D
  • i9100
  • i950
  • i960
  • i9900
  • PIXMA iP8500
  • S800
  • S820
  • S820D
  • S830D
  • S900
  • S9000

I think you would be very pleased with the Pro-100 or Pro-10 versions, depending in whether you prefer dye or pigment inks.
