The Mac installation process winner: Steve 1, Printer 0, but it took a lot of fighting. Truly awful documentation and installation software. I won't bore you with the details, but I ended up with the AirPrint driver and only until I added the printer by IP address instead of Bonjour was the Canon driver used. I spent over 3 hours fighting with it before I was finally satisfied that things were set up properly.
Canon, you need to write a complete installation guide and put a hard copy in the box or at least a QR code that lets me download it. You need to document how to fix or work around speed bumps and give a stern warning about making sure to check that the correct driver is in use. Need to document how to tell if driver is installed on the machine, too. There's no excuse for such poor documentation.
