Installation of Print Studio Pro 2.2.5 is 2.2.3

I have downloaded latest PSP 2.2.5 to run on my Mac with OS Big Sur.

As many have stated, the plugin fails to run.

On closer inspection I noticed in lightroom manager that plugin version stated 2.2.3 which led me down a rat hole. After re-downloading and trying auto and manual install (all have same issue of plugin failing), I took a look at what was installed into folder /Applications/Canon Utilities/Print Studio Pro/Install Files/CNPSPPILR.lrdevplugin/Info.lua and lo and behold the lue shows version 2.2.3

VERSION = { major=2, minor=2, revision=3, build=000000, },

The files all show timestamp of Oct 16 2020 while the downloaded file is mpsp-mac-2_2_5-ea10_3.dmg.

After downloading file mpsp-mac-2_2_5-ea10_3.dmg and double clicking on it to run (on macos) I see file "Print Studio Pro 225.pkg and various folders - these folders have timestamp of Oct 16, 2020 and the pkg file mentioned above has timestamp of Nov 3, 2020 while on Canon website it shows release date of 12 Jan 2021.

It appears there is a mismatch on versions - could this be the cause of all the issues folks are having running on Mac BigSur??

Welcome to the forum.

It seems Canon has updated the installer program for PSP to 2.2.5 but the version it installs is 2.2.3, which is the latest version on macOS and Windows.

The problem of PSP execution is related to the update of macOS Big Sur to 11.6.

Since it worked fine on 11.5.x it is unclear to me if it is a Canon problem or a macOS problem.

If I try Canon's Digital Photo Professional and print via Print Studio Pro, printing also fails and Digital Photo Professional freezes - I couldn't isolate logs specific to DPP attempt.

Not sure this helps but I am happy to help where I can.

Actually I just noticed DPP freezes even trying to print directly to Canon printer.
