I would like to use the free stand alone version of Canon Professional Print & Layout (it is better + I have no Adobe products that take the plug in) on my PIXMA Pro-100.
But when I go to it on the Canon site for my printer, it shows my OS detected as being Catalina (it is not, it is latest Monterey). Monterey is not shown as an option.
When I do a download anyway, it just downloads the plug in installer only, which does not install the stand alone.
Any ideas?

This is a problem with the Canon site. But you can get macOS 12:
PP&L is not compatible with the Pro-100. Only Print Studio Pro, which is a plug-in only product.

So, bad UI design and varying use of OS terminology (I see it now) but, irrelevant as, I cannot download the freestanding version of CPPL anyway!
Canon, so close… off to Epson, I guess…

"I cannot download the freestanding version of CPPL"
You can't download what doesn't exist.
Qimage One by Binartem software is probably a less expensive solution.

Yes, that is what the “anyway” at the end you cut means.
