Hello! I am trying to set up my Canon Pixma Pro and my IJ network took wont detect the printer when connected via USB to my macbook.
- I have the printer connected to my wifi router via an ethernet cable.
- I installed the IJ network and driver software for my Macbook (I have the Cataline version).
- When I look at printers/scanners in my macbook settings, the Pixma pro does show up. However, when I open the IJ network tool and click "update" to detect the printer, it says "The printer that is connected with the USB cable was not detected."
Any suggestions?

If the printer is connected via USB I'm not sure it needs to be connected to the network.
Since you are on a Mac is the Canon IJ Series driver installed (not AirPrint)?
