Cannot get colours to match in print.

Hi all

I'm trying to print artwork and no matter what I try, the print coming out of the Pixma Pro 100s will not match what's in the Photoshop image. I've made sure I have the right profile for the paper I'm using. I've installed Canon Print Studio Pro. I've tried different types of paper, both matte and glossy. I've checked the nozzles, inks, allignment. But every single time, the prints come out greener and with less contrast than what's on screen. I've made sure my screen is calibrated and printed off both my PC and ipad to make sure it's not some screen miscalibration. I've tried printing off both PC and ipad. But the colours are completely off.

There is one thing that I'm not sure may be a cause of the issue, but it may be necessary information. I'm using 3rd party inks in the printer. Not Canon ones. Would that account for such huge discrepencies in the screen to print.

I'm losing my mind here. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Welcome to the forum.

It is quite possible your issue is related to the third party inks.

If you are using a reputable third party ink supplier they may have already created profiles for various papers. If it is a bargain third party supplier: 1. you will need to have custom progfiles created and 2. you need to hope that they are consisten from order to order.

Many thanks. I'm going to have to order official inks and check those out to see if I get more accurate results.

If you are changing inks be sure to run a number of prints through before you judge anything. Need to be sure all old ink is flushed.

They are pricy, but if you are doing anything importtant with your prints you cannot go wrong using the Canon inks.
