After Transport, Pro-1000 insisting on replacing all ink cartridges

I transported my PRO-1000. Before transport, the ink cartridges looked like this:

I would call 10/12 of those full. I have replacements at hand for PBK and GY.

No on restarting, the printer is showing all cartridges as empty and requiring replacement. I can feel how full they are. They're properly heavy, full ink cartridges.

Can I force the **bleep** printer to complete the after-transport set-up cycle without replacing all the cartridges?

I weighed the cartridges. The partially full ones are showing around 85-90 grams, while a new cartridge is 118 grams.

A cartridge has 80ml of ink. The internet tells me ink weighs 1.05 grams per ml. My cartridges are something over 67% full.

Greetings ,

What type of surface do you have the printer on?  On the bottom of the printer there is an attitude sensor switch that could keep the printer from operating If the switch was not properly engaged.

If this doesn't help, it would be best to contact Canon support.  Start by registering your printer in your MyCanon account, then call 1-800-652-2666.

Thanks for the suggestion. My spirit level tells me that it is level.

I will get onto Canon support when they are open.

Welcome any other suggestions in the meantime.
