imageRUNNER ADVANCE 400iF - Cannot Scan

Hi Everyone,

I have had this printer for a while, but have been unable to get it to work consistently.  I've followed the instructions that I've seen online and in the manual, but still no luck.  This is a Windows 11 PC, and I can't get it to scan and send properly.  It fails to send.  I have tried using a shared folder on my PC and by email.

  • Connection:  I have it connected by ethernet to my router, and I have found the IP.  I can put the IP in a browser and connect the the login and settings.
  • Software: Color Network ScanGear 2 - Sometimes it connects and says "The selected scanner is available for use" and sometimes it doesn't, but Settings is always greyed out.  

I have another Canon personal printer that I just use the Canon software to control the scan from the PC and create the PDF.  Ideally, that's what I'd like to do, but I'm open to any tips to get this running properly.  Thanks!
