A USB connected Mac that was printing without issue on Sequoia 15.2, is now unable to print to an iPF8400 after upgrading to Sequoia 15.5.
The OS is able to find the printer, but the driver utility shows that it isn't connected. Has anybody else experienced this since the update or found a solution?

Greetings,
The only suggestion I have is to remove the printer from the Printer and Scanner dialog, then uninstall its software (driver). Now disconnect the USB cable, and important, restart your MAC.
Now rerun the installer and do not connect the printer until prompted to do so. If this fails, you can recover your OS using time machine. For production systems, you should be backing up your OS prior to performing software upgrades. This allows you to go back if you find something is not compatible or working as expected.
Beyond that, the IPF 8400 is a professional business product and is supported by Canon's dealer network. If you don't have a dealer, you can contact Canon support. They will provide you with a list of dealers in your area.
