imagePROGRAF PRO-4600 color issue

Hey everyone!

Recently had my epson p6000 die on me and i didn't want to get another so i sprung for a canon 4600. The few reviews i have seen were great, so i was really happy to go with that model, but so far, im really disappointed with it. The colors seem way off. My epson was bang on every single time. Im having a hard time finding the ICC profiles that i want/need. Tonight, i printed on the canon photo satin 240 paper, and the skin tones were so red. like really red. Not at all what i have on my monitor, which is calibrated

I was lucky enough to have someone send me their icc for epsons hot press bright paper (one of my favs), and even then, the skin tones were wack. Am i missing something? I am so use to being able to control every setting in photoshop when i printed with my epson.

I use a lot of exhibition canvas satin from epson, so i tried to use the canon art canvas satin icc (i know, its not the same), but that printed wayyyyy to dark.

Anyway, id love to connect with other 4600 owners and pick your brain. I know theres a lot of experience in these forums.

Thanks!

Terry

Verify that you are using the Apple IJ Series driver and not the Apple AirPrint driver.

looks like i am using the airprint driver.

OK. Go to Printers & Scanners and add a new printer. Wait until the Canon IJ Series appears. It could take several minutes. I am assuming you downloaded and installed the Canon CUPS driver. When you get the JJ Series printer installed delete the AirPrint version vv
