IR ADV 4525i SMTP sending with Protonmail

Has anyone found a way to setup SMTP email sending from an IR ADV 4525i using protonmail smtp from a proton business organization? After following all the steps, I am struggling to get it to work. Specifically not finding a way to use protons specified port for SMTP. I am looking to do this without using a mail gateway as a middle man like most workarounds use.

Thanks

Thanks for joining the conversation, jupton231!

While our forum community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for products in the imageRUNNER ADVANCE series. Instead, your dealer will be able to help you! If you don't have a dealer and you're in the United States, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers in your area.

If you're outside the USA, visit http://global.canon and choose your country or region from the map for local support.

We hope this helps!

Greetings ,

I reviewed the following KB article on proton's site and it appears to demonstrate using SMTP for proton mail.  You have to be subscribed to one of their business plans. It's not free.

In proton mail the SMTP token is the equivalent of an app password.
