I don't want to scan to one drive. I have tried to change the settings to point to my desktop, my documents, etc and no joy, keeps dumping to a one drive folder.  how can i re configure this? thanks!

Greetings ,

You can specify the scan to destination in the MF scan utility. If you have it pointed to a OneDrive folder, that's where it will scan to.  Simply change the path to your desired folder.

doesn't work. it just creates one drive folders. changing the path in the settings does not send it to my c:\source directory. it creates a source folder

C:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents\2025_01_14

C:\Users\username\OneDrive\source\2025_01_14

Maybe check if there is a global preference setting. I don’t see any way how the printer app would know whether or not you have a One Drive account.

can't find any, thus the question to this forum. very upsetting

There is only one way I see this happening.  If you have OneDrive installed and configured to BackUp an existing Library or Folder Group, a new folder could be mapped and backed up to one drive when set or created.  This is a configuration issue in OneDrive or windows, not in the MF Scan Utility.

one drive has been removed, pc rebooted, yet scans continue to go to the folders mentioned above.  Since i did not choose one drive when i set up the drivers and scan utility it seems designed to look for and attach to these folders. maybe removal and re-installation?

Hello, leftydog1961!

Most modern Windows computers require a Microsoft account and are deeply integrated into OneDrive. Your Desktop, Photos, and Documents are usually all synced to OneDrive automatically.

Could it be that your photo download folder is set to sync to your OneDrive "out of the box?"

I'm not a tech, nor do we support OneDrive, but I am very familiar with both products. Take a look at this screenshot (each click is numbered), and see if your folders are also synced with OneDrive like mine are:

I accidentally cropped the image to exclude the icon in the system tray at the bottom - you'll right click the blue OneDrive icon to bring up the first menu.

thanks for the reply, i have removed one drive from my computer and rebooted. I will reboot again and scan.
