new to canon products. My question is about connection

I bought a canon pixma mg3122 and Im having trouble connecting it to my asus chromebook.  Anyone have any suggestions on connection? Please keep n mind Im not tech savvy at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To use your PIXMA MG3122 with your Chromebook, it must first be set up for wireless use with a Windows or Mac computer.

To print from your Chromebook, after it is setup for use with a Windows or Mac computer, it must be set up as a Classic Printer on that computer.  To do this, please follow the steps for connecting a Classic Printer from Google's web site:
