imageCLASS MF753Cdw: MF Scan Utility won’t connect wirelessly

I have a MF753Cdw that prints just fine wirelessly from my Dell Inspiron 16 running Windows 11 home.  I cannot get the MF Scan Utility to wirelessly communicate with the MF753Cdw. I get a “ScanGear MF” message “Cannot communicate with the scanner. The cable may be disconnected, or scanner may be turned off. Check the scanner status and try again. Scanner driver will be terminated. “ 

From the printer side if I select Scan then Computer, it tells me to connect the computer. The computer IS connected as evidenced by the ability to print.

If the scan utility is unable to communicate with MF753 and you get a USB error message you can try checking the settings and reinstalling. 

At the top of the scan utility, you can check the product drop down box to make sure the MF753(network) options is selected. If it still fails, the message will give you an option for scanner selection. In the window that comes up, you can check to make sure the dot is next to the MAC address of the scanner.

If you are still unable to scan, you can try reinstalling the [Windows 64bit] MF753Cdw/ MF751Cdw MFDrivers (Generic Plus UFR II / Generic FAX / ScanGear).
