imageCLASS MF465dw Need help setting up Remote UI

I just bought an ImageClass MF465dw. When I set it up, it didn't appear that I need remote UI, so it didn't set it up intiially. Now when I try to scan it's telling me that "email/I-fax settings are not configured in Remote UI" and to contact an administrator. I've searched the manual high and low, but I can't figure out how to go back and set up Remote UI. All I need this to do is print and scan, so if you could help me get that set up it would be wonderful. Thanks.

This certainly looks like what I need, but where is this? I don't see anything like this in my printers and devices (on the computer), the router admin portal, or anywhere else.

Greetings,

Wired or wireless doesn't matter.  You click the settings / registration button.  The path to those settings is at the top of each page in the images I posted.  I outlined one of them in red in the second image at the top.  After clicking the settings registration button, you will see a list of options on the left hand side of the page. Follow the path, it will take you to each page where the settings are.

One thing I mentioned earlier that you may have missed.  When logging into the remote UI, you must select the system manager radio button.  If you login as a general user, the account will not have global permissions or be able to access all of the printer's settings.

Rick, I appreciate your patience with me. I did find it when logging in as admin vs. general mode, and I also found the settings from my employer's website. However, I still can't get it to work. This is no reflection on you, but I've got to tell you, if everyone who buys this printer has to go through this just to set up a printer, Canon needs to rethink things. I consider myself halfway decent with this stuff, but I've had enough. I'm packing it up and returning and will find another MFP. Again, I appreciate your patience with me.

Good morning,

I'm sorry you feel giving up is the only option.  Please understand that any printer regardless of brand will require that you input this information in order to scan the email.  All of them operate the same way and come as a blank slate.  Canon makes great laser printers. I own two.  I've been completely satisfied with their performance and quality.
