imageRUNNER Advance C5535i - Can't install drivers by IP anymore

julzzzz

I have a Canon imageRUNNER Advance C5535i. I'm the tech at the office so I've installed this to several computers over the years. The latest software drivers are not working as the only way to install this properly is with it's IP address. I tried downloading my usual version, then others, and all are asking me for a port and none are allowing me to install with the IP like it used to. This is the page: https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imagerunner-advance-c5535i?srsltid=AfmBOooD1m0U4iGfP-OAcl7MVIX8m...

Thanks for posting!

While our Forum Community members are welcome to chime in, Canon does not provide direct support for imageRUNNER series products, but your dealer will be able to help you!

If you don't have a dealer, please call us at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) and we will be happy to provide you with the names of dealers who are in your area!

So I have to pay a dealer for your incorrect website information? There doesn't seem to be a place to get help with that.

Greetings julzzzz,

What exactly is incorrect?  I see PCL, PS and UFRII drivers available for the device.  Do you not have the printer installed on a system acting as a print server?  Installing it on systems one at a time seems like a lot of extra work.

We're a small school, so I do it manually. Of course I installed the UFRII drivers as I usually do. It says as you're installing that there is an option for IP and port installation. It never asks you to choose like the older software used to, and only gives you port installation.
