Why is my wireless printer telling me another computer is using this printer.

So I stood in the store for nearly an hour to choose a printer. I am a medical student and I NEED my printer to work. This is aboslutely ridiculous. I thought buying a Canon would be a good choice but now seeing all the problems they have I don't know if that was a good idea. I am HIGHLY unsatisfied. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I have even taken the printer offline and used the cord and nothing works. I know there isn't any other devices on my printer. As I said I am a med student so I also don't have the money to just go buy another one. Canon needs to fix this.

Hi, TayYoungblood!

So that the Community can help you better, we will need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using, whether you're trying to connect via USB or Wi-Fi, and which operating system is on your computer (i.e. Windows or Mac OS X, and which version thereof). That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, our US-based technical support team is standing by, ready to help 24/7 via Email at http://bit.ly/EmailCanon or by phone at 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) weekdays between 10 AM and 10 PM ET (7 AM to 7 PM PT).

Thanks and have a great day!

You can try to repeat the installation process. Delete the first installation then follow the step by step instructions carefully in the CD manual / installer.
