Stuck in ‘Let’s Get Started!’ Loop On Mini Print App

I’ve just gotten the Ivy mini printer and I’ve been trying to get the app to open/realize it’s connected to my iPhone. But I keep getting stuck on the second ‘page’ of the ‘Let’s Get Started!’ Pop up. I cannot get the pop up to go away. I connected and disconnected, made my phone forget the device and did a reset on the mini printer but the app will not continue forward and even pops me up to the wrong page when it comes to connecting to the Bluetooth. And yes the printer is charged. Below is where I am stuck and the location the app sends me too when I click the next button. And every time I open the app this pop up shows up. Even though it didn’t ONE time and I was able to look at the rest of the app and even create an account for canon and such.

Any help would be really appreciated!!

Hi juanmavelasco,

Were you able to resolve this issue?  If not, please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:

https://mycanon.usa.canon.com

Once logged in, click on your IVY printer and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support.

Two years after the post about this problem I have the same problem and no solution is posted here (!?!).I am using an Iphone SE; ios 18.7.1. The phone connects via Bluetooth to the Ivy. The "Let's Get Started" sequence is stuck at 2/3 and does not advance after pairing. I cannot find the serial number; cannot access the "where to find the serial number," can't access the "having a problem," cannot register because I bought the device in 2019 or 2020 and do not have a record of the purchase date. It would be great to get some customer support after spending 45 minutes signing in to various Canon things that go nowhere.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you're having a problem with your IVY Mini Photo Printer. The Canon Mini Print app loop issue (stuck on "Let's Get Started" / step 2 of 3) on iOS usually stems from a Bluetooth setup mismatch, missing iOS app permissions, or a corrupted app cache.

1. Enable iOS Permissions

  1. Open your iPhone Settings.
  2. Scroll down and tap Mini Print.
  3. Ensure Bluetooth is toggled ON.
  4. Ensure Local Network and Photos (Full Access) are enabled.
2. Clear Bluetooth Pairing & Reset the Printer

  1. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth.
  2. Find Canon Mini Printer (or IVY), tap the (i) icon next to it, and select Forget This Device.
  3. Turn off Bluetooth on your iPhone for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
  4. Hard reset the Ivy printer: Insert a pin or paperclip into the small reset hole (usually located next to the micro-USB/USB-C charging port) and hold it down for 3 to 5 seconds until the status LED flashes.
3. Bypass the Setup Wizard Loop

  1. Uninstall the Canon Mini Print app from your iPhone.
  2. Restart your iPhone.
  3. Reinstall Canon Mini Print from the App Store.
  4. Turn on the Ivy printer.
  5. Launch the app before manually pairing through iOS Settings. Allow all permission pop-ups (Bluetooth, Location, Photos) when prompted by the app, then add the printer directly within the app interface.
Where to Find the Serial Number (if needed for support):

  • The serial number is printed on a small white sticker inside the paper compartment. Open the top cover (where you load the ZINK paper) and remove the paper to view the barcode sticker on the inner casing.

You can register your printer at https://canon.us/account with an approximate purchase date.

Thank for replying. I tried all three recommendations. None worked.

1. The app apparently has not requested Local Network or Photo access and does not show.

2. When I insert a paper clip to the Reset and hold it for 3,5,10 seconds there is no result. I do not know what LED statis would be but no lights come on.

3. Following those steps leads to page 2 of the Set Up sequence which is an fruitless loop without end and does not allow any use of the app.

Please provide a fix. See my earlier reply explaining why the advice provided did not fix the problem.
