SELPHY CP1300 How to install firmware update

Hello, I have a Canon Selphy CP1300 that stopped communicating with my phone 😞 I tried reinstalling the app, restarting the router, etc. I finally found a firmware update for the photo printer, but I can't seem to update the firmware correctly.  I copied the firmware update to an SD card, stuck the SD card into the printer SD slot, but now it's looking for photos on the SD card. I don't know how to get it read the firmware update on the SD card.  Thank you for any help or advice! 🙂

Did you follow the update instructions exactly? Very important that you use a "clean" formatted SD card and place the firmware file in the root directory.
