Pro 100 driver installation fails on Mac OS Sequoia or Tahoe

I have a PIXMa Pro-100 printer. The Canon driver, PrinterDriver_PRO-100 series_165000.pkg will not install for me on any of my Macs, running Sequoia or Tahoe. During verification the installation fails, giving me a message to contact the software developer. I have, of course, tried the easily Googleable solution—I uninstalled all existing Canon software, restarted my computer and tried again. Several times. I re-downloaded the package, in case something got corrupted en route. Nothing works. I can only print using ancient drivers on a computer that still runs Lion OS. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,
This sounds super frustrating. Have you tried downloading the driver from the Canon site https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-pro-100?

That''s bizarre. When I went to that page yesterday and this morning the newest version it would show me was 16.5.0, no matter which OS version I chose. I tried every pull-down menu on the page. But when I clicked on your link just now and selected Sequoia, it showed me 16.5.90.1, which installed successfully. Thank you! The internet is occasionally mysterious.

I tried the suggested approach. The Canon Support site recognized my computer an Tahoe 26.5.1 operating system. Downloaded the package, went to downloads and clicked the the downloaded file and started the install after agreeing to the licensing agreement. The install package went through the installation steps and then said the install failed.

If you followed my directions and you had a problem, you'll want to contact support.

I deleted all the files pertaining to the Canon printer and then went back to the support site and downloaded the Pixma Pro 100 Install package and made sure it was for the Mac and used drop down menu and selected the Tahoe Operating System. The driver installed successfully. I will add that adding it to a WiFi connected printer required using a USB Cable first and configuring the printer to the wireless network name and password.
