Print Studio Pro causes Photoshop Elements to freeze

Mac Big Sur 11.6

I've installed the latest version of Canon Print Studio Pro to use with Photoshop Elements 2021. When I select Automation Tools under the "File" tab, Canon Print Studio Pro is an option. When I select it PSE completely freezes. The only way out is a Force Quit. Any help will be appreciated.

Mac OS 10.14.6, will upgrade to Monterey (OS 12). Currently Print Studio Pro (PSP) is version 2.2.3 as a plugin to LR Classic 10.4. Does a simple install of version 2.2.5 automatically update/replace version 2.2.3, or should version 2.2.3  be uninstalled first? Currently I cannot update to the latest of LR Classic and PS, hence the need to upgrade the OS to Monterey.

I am having this exact same issue with Adobe Photoshop Elements 2023 and MacOS 12.7.4 running on a late 2015 27" intel imac.  Have tried both ver 2.2.5 and 2.2.8 that are shown on support page for my pro-100.

Have completely removed PSP and reinstalled the plugin multiple times, but everytime i try to start it the UI freezes for elements and have to force quit it.
