Pixma TR4520 remote UI access

Is the Canon Print Inkjet SELPHY app not able to acces the remote UI of the PIXMA TR4520?

Hello dludlum,

The app can access the setting for the printer but, the app does not access the standard web UI. If you are trying to access the UI, you can open a web page on the mobile device and enter the printer's ip address. It will take you to the web UI.

It's actually the mobile device's Chrome web browser that can't access the printer's web UI. The Canon app is trying to use the browser to access it, but that produces a warning sign in the browser's address bar that the connection is not secure, and it won't bring up the UI. I have no trouble accessing the same URL for the UI from Chrome on my laptop.
