PIXMA iP8720 unable to detect printer wirelessly

I'm unable to complete my installation with full software package into my MAC OS15.  it is not detecting or finding my printer.  I've tried wirelessly and USB cable and nothing.  What do I do?  I'm unable to register my product as well, it is not accepting the correct serial number from the back of the printer.  This printer was purchased from Amazon.  Someone help please!

my printer is a PIXMA iP8720 printer and trying to install software

I just purchased a PIXMA iP8720 printer.  Unable to detect my printer, install all software and unable to register my product with the serial number on back of printer.

The printer serial number will be located on the back or side of the printer.

I entered the exact serial number that is printed on a white label in back of my printer.  Canon does not accept it and trying to register my product.
