PIXMA TR8620a unable to be found on network

Suddenly our Pixma TR8620a has disappeared from all of the computers in the house. If I input the IP address directly, it only registers as a "generic printer" and will not print. Things I have already done: 1) deleted and reinstalled all of the printer software, 2) unplugged the printer/shut down and restarted the computer, 3) reset the settings on the printer and reconnected it to the Wi-Fi. I have checked my Spectrum account and it shows up on their page as well. I am a little concerned that if I try and delete it there, it may not reinstall based on the fact that nothing seems to be working. I am on Mac OS Sonoma 14.8.1.

One thing that I did notice was that the Canon driver software appears to be included within another software package, maybe that is an issue?

Did you download the setup package from here? Make sure you choose Sonoma v14.

I just downloaded and installed it again, in case I had used the wrong version, and no change.  When I use the IP address, it says Use: Generic PostScript Printer. If I use the pull down to "Select Software", it doesn't list anything by Canon. It does give an "other" option, but I don't know what I should select that might work. Most of the Canon software shows up but is grayed out. The Canon software at the link you posted doesn't actually have anything that says "drivers" - I assume it is part of the "Setup package" software.
