PIXMA PRO-100 What software do I need?

What software will I need to print with this printer. I currently use Lightroom, but I could also get Photoshop if necessary. Is there any Canon software I should have?

For Windows? I don't know about should have, Canon software is not as advanced as Lightroom or Photoshop when printing images but some like it. I don't use it I use Corel Paintshop Pro. Canon has software for printing cards, posters, etc which you can find here, including Poster Artist, Easy Photo Print Editor and a really good quick menu program for all the printer apps.

Do you mean what driver do you need? What operating system?

If you have the Canon printer driver installed you can print from Lightroom. I've been doing it for 15 years.

I don’t have Lightroom Classic. I just have the web based Lightroom.

In that case you should export the images from Lr and MS Photos app if Windows or Preview if on a Mac.

My approach is to always download and install the Canon software and test the Canon software for the printer.  Yours is at https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-pro-100.  Vendor software is the only truly 100% supported option.

If I prefer to not use the official Canon software if things ever go sideways with third party software I can then use it for troubleshooting.

Personally, I use Canon Professional Print and Layout (PPL) but it appears that it isn't compatible with your printer.

Thank you. Very helpful.
