The printer was set up wirelessly on my Mac Book Pro (Ventura 13.6.9 OS) and when I look at my router settings, it appears as a device that is strongly connected in my router's list of devices, but the printer doesn't connect continuously to my devices. It will successfully print or scan after I click on the "troubleshoot" option for the printer in my router settings (this results in my router declaring "Strong connection to Canon G7000) after which point I can print / scan for about a 5 minute window of time, but then the printer is back to offline, and there seems to be no other way to get it to stay online continuously. Help!
editing to add that I ultimately called tech support who immediately identified and fixed the problem by walking me through the printer settings to disable one of the two IP addresses in the printer settings. Worked like a charm! I never would have figured that out on my own…🤯 highly recommend swallowing your pride and calling tech support if you’re having connectivity issues with this printer!

Hi autublu,
Thank you for keeping us posted on your progress. If the printer setting that you are referring to is the IPv6 setting, yes, disabling this on the printer will resolve a few wireless printing issues.
For others who may be experiencing this, I am providing the steps to disable IPv6 on the PIXMA G7020 below:
1. Please press the wrench and screwdriver button on your PIXMA G7020 one time.
2. Use the right arrow to select Device Settings and press OK.
3. Use the right arrow to select LAN settings and press OK.
4. Select Wi-Fi and press OK.
5. Use the right arrow to select Manual setup and press OK.
6. Use the right arrow to select TCP/IP settings and press OK.
7. Use the right arrow to select IPv6 and press OK.
8. Press OK on the displayed message.
9. Press OK on Enable/disable IPv6.
10. Use the right arrow to select Disable and press OK.
