First the printer is not three years old and the color cartridges were barely used - perhaps only three or four time - the printer says the color cartridges are at "end of life" - I have been able to shut off the printer checking cartridge status - but now the printer prints but will not scan to my PC or laptop. Drivers are current. At the moment I don't have three hundred US dollars to buy new cartridges that likely will never be used only to age out again. I have searched what to do to get the printer to scan - I have unplugged it and plugged it back in. It is hard wire connected to my LAN. I removed the LAN cable and plugged it back in - since it prints there is an active connection. I have tried resetting it with the red circle with upside down triangle inside on the printer display - but that does nothing - no response when holding it for five seconds or longer. I can also no longer get to the home menu. That button does not respond. I don't know what else to do. I could by a new printer for what these color cartridges will cost. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
