PIXMA MX922 Legacy Extension message and driver question and app question

Apple M3 Max chip & Sequoia 15.4.1

On the last 2 OS updates ive received the attached Mac message:

I use daily Canon IJ Scan Utility , V 1.4.0 and my MX922 has driver 3.031 installed. Current driver update available is 3.041 and im pretty sure there is an update for the App - I forgot to check.  Lately the app has been a little wonky - takes longer than usual to scan or occasionally freezes up and I have to force quite.

 

I'd like to update the driver and app if applicable , but am worried about either not being compatible with Sequoia.   I dont want to update myself into "incompatibility" and have a busted app or unusable MX922.

 

Suggestions ?  Anyone can tell me if the latest versions will work for sure with my OS with no issues?  Update driver and app or what??  Just keep putting up with it?  Looking for help.  Tks!!

ok.  understood. sorry for the bump....  canon support is way too hard anymore to get ahold of - a few years back it was much easier - they actually had people to talk to. haha. nowadays its a battle on the phone game to get anyone.  anyhow, the printer is way out of warranty - but still works like a champ besides the recent hiccuping. tks again!  maybe someone will see it over the weekend and help out. have a nice weekend!

Seems like a driver update via printer panel got rid of the apple extensions message - for now. Software seems to be working better too and as usual before i started receiving the apple message.

Wellll, the fix didnt last so long. Last week the Canon IJ scan utility app started to malfunction. Now when I open it , the app window is always maximized and the reduce button in the upper left corner has disappeared. App also will not close by using File, Exit or close - I have to Force Quit it.  😞
