My pc is not detecting the Canon MX340 after working fine for couple of months.

As I understand, your PC is not able to detect your printer after long term usage.
Kindly advise the following below,
1) Computer operating system
2) Any error message that occurred?
The following issue could be just a break off in communication with the printer and the PC.

Thank you for your information.
You may want to try the following download to re-connect your printer to your PC.
Here's the steps for your reference,
1) Download and install the driver
2) Perform a print
1) Download and install the driver
a) Download the driver
- http://www.usa.canon.com/nw3s/CanonUSA/DownloadContents/English/0100461601EN.htm
b) Run the installation
c) Select "Wireless LAN Connection/ Network Lan Connection"
- if your printer is not detected, kindly select "Set up printer network connection via USB cable" and then press "Next"
* You will need to connect your USB cable for the following method.
d) Complete the installation
2) Perform a print
a) Try performing a print to determine the installation.
