Wireless Connection for Canon MX 920

Yes, you can wirelessly connect your Canon MX 920 to your MacBook M series as a scanner.

Steps to Connect

  1. Ensure Wi-Fi Connection:
    • Make sure your Canon MX 920 printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your MacBook.
  2. Using Canon PRINT App:

    • Download and install the Canon PRINT app on your MacBook.
    • Follow the app's instructions to connect your printer and start scanning.
  3. Using macOS Built-in Features:

    • Open the "Image Capture" or "Preview" app on your MacBook.
    • Select your Canon MX 920 from the list of devices.
    • Choose the scanning options you prefer and start scanning.

Additional Information

  • The Canon PRINT app allows you to manage your printer settings and check ink levels.
  • Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date for optimal performance.

Thanks for your response to my query. I was unable to find the Canon PRINT app itself, lots of knock offs with in app purchses on the App Store. So I went looking for freeware and found NAPS2. It connected immediately. Some operational differences from the old system, but it does the job.

I believe the Canon PRINT app is iOS or Android only.
