Hi,

I am having trouble setting up my new printer, canon image class D570 for wireless printing via Google Nest Wifi. I am using Mac version: 13.4 Ventura as the operating system. Thank you in advance!

Hello eliang3118,

Ensure that your Canon Image Class D570 printer is powered on connected to the same wi-fi network as your google nest wifi. On your Mac, click on the Apple menu in the top-left corner of the screen and select "System Preferences." In the System Preferences window, click on "Printers & Scanners." If your printer is already listed in the Printers & Scanners window, select it and click on the "-" button below the list to remove it. This will ensure a clean setup. Next, click on the "+" button below the printer list to add a new printer. A new window will appear. Make sure the "Default" tab is selected. If your Canon printer is detected, it should appear in the list on the right. Select it and click on the "Add" button. If your Canon printer is not automatically detected, click on the "IP" tab at the top of the window. In the "Address" field, enter the IP address of your Canon printer. You can usually find this information in the printer's settings or by printing a network configuration page from the printer. The "Protocol" field should be set to "Line Printer Daemon - LPD." In the "Queue" field, enter "auto" (without quotes). In the "Name" field, you can enter a name for your printer (e.g., Canon ImageClass D570). In the "Use" dropdown menu, select the appropriate Canon printer driver for your model (if available). If the exact model is not listed, you can try selecting a similar or generic driver. Click on the "Add" button to add the printer to your Mac. Your Canon ImageClass D570 printer should now be added and ready to use for wireless printing from your Mac via Google Nest Wifi. That will help you.

Thanks.

Greetings,

We typically recommend drivers for the device as well.  Those can be found on the printer's support page here:
