Error message when attempting to print from Professional Print and Layout

I have used the Professional Print and Layout app to print from Lightroom to my Canon Image Pro-1000 very successfully and love the results. Following the recent Windows 11 update 22H2 on 9/28/22, I was not longer able to use the application. I attempted downloading a fresh app and installing it, to no avail. Have attempted numerous times, but I have had no success.

After preparing the image in the Layout app, checking that all is correct, then press "print". I receive this error message:

"Error: Please check the printer's operation panel or remote UI"

The operation panel has no error message, reports the printer ready to print. The Remote UI show all is good. I am really stumped. I LOVE the Canon app to use with this printer. It produces better quality than the same image from Lightroom.

Can someone help with this problem?

Thank-you.

After using PP&L through Lightroom Classic for almost 2 years, the same thing is happening to me now. Has anyone come up with a fix?

I came here to report the same problem.  After running a dozen 8.5x11 sheets (single 8 x 10 prints), I changed layouts and ran into this error for every subsequent print!

In an "ah hah!" moment, I found my problem.  When loading the saved layout, the application also recalled an old printer configuration. I picked the correct printer and IP address from the Printer drop-down, and it's all working again as expected.

EOS 90D (+ EOS 40D + EOS 650)
EF 50mm f/1.8, EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS,
EFS 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, EFS 55-250mm f/4-5.6

Okay, so does that mean the PP&L and my Canon printer have to have the same IP address? I have two printers, each on different IP addresses and not the same as PP&L. PP&L won't print to either one. Everything was working fine until about a month ago.

I did check the URL as indicated in the error message I received and all it took me to was the IP address in the search bar.

Thanks for any help!
