Canon TS202 Driver Not Appearing on macOS High Sierra

I recently purchased a Canon TS202 printer and am having trouble getting it set up on my Mac running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. I followed Canon’s instructions and downloaded the recommended software package, which installed without any errors. However, I can’t locate the actual printer driver anywhere on my system afterward. I also tried searching Canon’s website for a standalone TS202 driver that I could install manually, but I haven’t been able to find one compatible with High Sierra.

If you installed the driver package did you then add the printer? I don't remember what it was called in HS but now it is called System Settings->Printers & Scanners.

Hello. If you follow the setup, you shouldn't have to find anything. You can re-run it and it should work just fine, otherwise, support can help at 800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666) during normal business hours.

Here's the setup flow (go here from wherever you want to install the printer): https://ij.start.canon/ts202

Yes, that link only takes you to the Canon homepage. There are no drivers there.

Having the same exact problem. It's called System Preferences on High Sierra. You can add the printer, then it asks for a driver, which doesn't show up on the list.

Haveing the same problem. I messed with mine for 4 hours yesterday. I'm just going to return it. They shouldn't list this printer as compatible with High Sierra if they can't bother to provide drivers.

That was my mistake, sorry about that - I've corrected the link.

nope. it still just takes you to https://www.usa.canon.com/

Tech support suggested I return the printer and purchase an MG3620 instead. Apparently the download software for the TS202 does not includes drivers, and tech support was unable to locate any standalone drivers that could be downloaded.

oh my god, i'm such an idiot - I edited the text of the link, but not the actual link. 😔

What are you trying to do? This printer is a basic, simple printer that you PLUG INTO YOUR COMPUTER BY USB and print. That's it. No bells. No whistles. Plug it in. Print.
