Cannon TR4527 printer not connecting to Starlink wifi

CSweeney

I have tried everything I can find on the internet and I cannot get my printer to connect to my Starlink wifi.  We have had the wifi for a while (over a year) and just needed to use our printer for the first time since today.

We have confirmed the Starlink router is set to broadcast a 2.4 GHz network and we do have other devices using this network.  We unplugged everything (the router and the printer).

I reset the printer to factory settings.

1.5 hours in - I have tried both manual set up as well as wifi easy set up.  Everything I try has the printer giving an error message either to consult the manual or 3441 Set up error, redo easy wifi connect.

Greetings,

Please ensure the encryption for the 2.4Hhz broadcast is using WPA2.  You should be able to check this in the Starlink App.

Thank you we tried that. And still are getting the same message from the printer

Under networks in the Starlink App, use the Split Network option.  If it allows you to give each broadcast a unique name, do that.

To confirm, you are putting the printer into wireless set up mode when attempting to make the connection?  Can you see the broadcast at all on the printer?

Yes we are putting it into wireless set up mode. Also tried manual set up as well.

I am not certain what you mean by see the broadcast at all on the printer?

when in wireless set up mode it is saying something about using our device to set up and we have the app downloaded both from apple and the chrome store on my Chromebook. It seems to take us through almost every step and the gets stuck when it says this will take about 150 seconds and during that period is when the printer errors.

do you have any other ideas?
