Unable to connect to WiFi using Power Shot G7X Mark II

I believe I followed the instructions to connect my camera to the WiFi in our home and to my iPhone.  I do not receive the access code via email.  I finally started to use a card reader, very frustrating....

Hello rslackde, 

When you first started running the camera and attempting to connect to the Wi Fi, did you run the pairing utility?  This needs to be completed as a first step in order to ensure the camera is connected wirelessly.  

So we may troubleshoot more if necessary, please include the operating system and OS version in any subsequent replies.

I ran a program which appeared to be a coupling type program but did not receive any confirmation that it was successful.  

 

I'm running Windows 10 on my computer.  I recognize that may be a problem as I only see references to Windows 7 and 8.

 

My iPhone is running 9.3.5

 

I also never received a code from Cannon when I ran the program which generates the code required to connect.  

 

It seemed as if nothing that I t ried worked.
