Settings for true colours

I have a power shot sx50hs I want to capture the true colours of red sunsets, what settings should I use. My pictures never seem to show the colours that I see. Thanks in advance

The PowerShot SX50 HS allows you to adjust the white balance setting to compensate for the various lighting conditions that you're likely to find. In this case, I recommend using the custom white balance setting. The use of your camera's white balance settings require that you shoot in one of the camera's "Creative" modes, such as "P", "Tv", "Av" and "M". For more information on this, please click here.
