Samsung S3 dropping wifi connection with SX 700

My SX700 is linked up with the Samsung S3, and the image is showing ready to transfer on the camera.  However, as soon as I tell it to transfer, a disconnect message comes up on both and camera says " transfer failed."  Any ideas?

Computer, iPad, and IPhone connections work perfectly, so I assume it is an Android problem.

First, if mobile data has been enabled, please turn it off, then try to connect again.

 

If you're still unable to connect, please reply with the following information:

 

  • Have you been able to transfer images to your Android previously?
  • Which version of android are you using in your phone?

Thank you for responding.

I have tried turning data off.  It didn't help, unfortunately.

 

The phone is on Android 4.4.2 on Verizon.  I have not been able

to transfer to this phone at all.
