I know this is probably too late but when you are trying to connect to the pc with wifi, follow the same steps you did before but also go to Control Panel>Devices and Printers and select ADD Device, once that window is open, you will see the Canon Powershot in the list. Once you select the camera it will finish and allow it to be accessed with you wifi.
