SX50 HS cannot download photos to my iPad

I have had this camera for 6 years, and could always attach a cord from the camera to my iPad and move my copy my photos.  
It no longer works. I recharged the battery, and it still did not work 

Is there any way for me to fix this?

Did you update to a new IOS Patch?

I just updated my iPad to IOS 13.3, went to the  Photos app, hit Import, and it worked.  The photos moved from my camera to my iPad.

Yeah, there was an issue with the previous iOS 13 Build. Hence my question.
