PowerShot elph 100 HS flash settings have disappeared!!!!

Hi! I have been using my canon powershot elph 100HS camera for almost 4 months now. It was given to me by my mom when she used to use it. Until last week, I had all 4 settings on my camera for the flash- auto, on, slow synchro, and off. However, this past weekend, I now only have auto and off. I did not change any card or charger or anything. Did I accidentally change something? Someone please help, I love my camera and its flash settings.

Thanks for letting us know what camera you've got. The PowerShot ELPH100 HS is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!

You can also speak with a Canon Upgrade Program specialist to help you score a modern replacement that would meet your current needs at a discount. You can reach them weekdays and Saturdays at 1-866-443-8002.

Hope this helps!

The available flash modes might depend on the shooting mode. In some modes like full auto you may only have flash on and auto, other creative modes offer more choices.

Hello! I am having the same issue!!! I recently got this camera from my dad and have only ever seen the two flash options. Also, for some reason I cannot seem to find how to access the FX that are available 😞

This camera is no longer supported - it's retired.

You will not see any options if you're in AUTO mode.

You should be able to access all of the flash settings in P.

re: "...access all of the flash settings in P.":  What is P?

I suggest you read the manual:

Wow, this camera has a cool feature. A shutter timer that activates with a "wink"!
