PowerShot SX720 HS Suddenly unable to transfer pics to iPhone

I am trying to transfer pictures from my Canon SX720HS to my iPhone 15 ProMax.  Have done this with no problem in past now all of a sudden not working.

Iphone 15 Pro Max

iOS 18.3

I deleted canon camera connect app and reinstalled.  the camera finds my internet connection, and when I turn app on  with phone it detects my camera. it then asks "connected smart device can now operate camera and access images a memory card" I click yes and it disconnects me, and my phone says connection failed.

Any help greatly appreciated, this is frustrating.

I have the sx70 and this happens to me too except occasionally it will, all of a sudden, transfer pics! I’m to the point of do I have to take a picture of the picture on the camera to make it bigger?! Trying to get a hold of anyone to help with this situation is **bleep** near impossible. I feel your pain!
