Unable to use Camera Connect app since app update

I have used the Camera Connect App multiple times to transfer photos from my PowerShot ELPH190IS camera to my iPad running iOS 17.7.10 with no problems.  About a month ago, I re-loaded the Camera Connect App and about 3 weeks ago, found that I could no longer connect the camera to the iPad, wither via a common network or with the cameras WiFi.  Has the Camera Connect App been changed so that the PowerShot ELPH190IS will no longer connect, or do I have another problem?

Can anyone suggest how I can easily transfer photos from my ELPH190IS camera directly to my iPad?  Camera Connect does not seem to work any more.

Thanks,

Walter

This should allow it:

Great suggestion.  I will search out a cable and git it a try.

Many thanks,

Walter

Got the cable, no luck, but a good try.

Thanks.

It's not a cable. It has to be the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. A cable will not work. You need to take the SD card out of the camera and insert it into the reader so that the iPad sees the card.

To transfer photos from SD card to iPad, you will need a compatible card reader connected to the iPad. You have successfully connected once your iPad shows your File apo browse location appears with "unknown" , that should be your card ready to be opened. The rest is easy to follow.
