PowerShot SX500 IS Part Missing

Hi!! So I received a canon sx500 is as a gift, I'm completely new to cameras so a lot of the terms go over my head. I believe I'm missing a part on my camera that allows me to attach anything to the lens. I have no idea what this part is called or if I can get it replaced easily. If anyone could help me out of appreciate it! Thank you in advance!!
