PowerShot SX500 IS How to pause (not stop) video recording

Does this camera have the option to pause a video in the middle then restart the same video instead of starting a brand new video everytime the start/stop button is pressed?  Thank You

Hi gt2003,

There isn't a way to pause a video that the camera is recording. If the recording is stopped the camera saves that file and will start a new file once the next recording is started.
