PowerShot ELPH 360 HS A Unable to connect wirelessly to computer

I recently received this camera as a replacement for a damaged 360 HS but I cannot connect directly to my windows computer and the camera interface seems to have never heard of "computers".   Has Canon made it impossible to now wirelessly connect to my computer?  Why is "smartphone" or the "cloud" the only option now on the camera?

I'm not looking for apologies.   If any are needed, it's from Canon, which removed easy-to-use wireless connectivity from this "new and improved" 360HS that allowed me to connect directly to a computer to download photos.   It's that simple - and that baffling.

Canon had no choice in the decisions by Apple and Microsoft to upgrade their Operating Systems. Apple changed CPU chips.  Microsoft released Win11 in 2021.

Like I said, even if you had the previous model, both of which were released a decade ago, you would still have a problem.  The app you need is obsolete because the computer platforms evolved.

Just to be clear, there's no "app" involved - this is not smartphony stuff.    The 360 HS connected to my Windows 11 computer flawlessly and continued to do so until I dropped it last month.   Nothing is not working because it WASN'T working or needed an update - it's simply that the "new" 360 HS A was designed to NOT connect wirelessly to a computer via a wireless connection.   It was a choice, not obsolescence.
